General / Introduction

Pursuant to Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the federal data protection provisions (Data Protection Act, DPA), every person has the right to the protection of their privacy and to protection against the misuse of their personal data. The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

In cooperation with our hosting providers, we endeavour to protect the databases as effectively as possible against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or falsification.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. It is not possible to guarantee complete protection of data against access by third parties.

By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of data in accordance with the description below. In principle, this website can be visited without registration. Data such as pages accessed or the names of files accessed, along with the date and time, are stored on the server for statistical purposes without this data being directly linked to you personally. Where personal data (such as name, address or email addresses) is collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis wherever possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

Processing of personal data

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. A data subject is a person in respect of whom personal data is processed. Processing covers any handling of personal data, regardless of the means and methods used, in particular the storage, disclosure, collection, erasure, retention, alteration, destruction and use of personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law. Where and to the extent that the EU GDPR applies, we also process personal data on the following legal bases in conjunction with Article 6(1) of the GDPR:

(a) Processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.

lit. b) Processing of personal data for the performance of a contract with the data subject and for the implementation of corresponding pre-contractual measures.

lit. c) Processing of personal data for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject under applicable EU law or under the applicable law of a country in which the GDPR is wholly or partially applicable.

lit. d) Processing of personal data to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person.

lit. f) Processing of personal data to protect our legitimate interests or those of third parties, unless the fundamental freedoms and rights and interests of the data subject override those interests.

Legitimate interests include, in particular, our business interest in being able to provide our website, information security, the enforcement of our own legal claims and compliance with Swiss law.

We process personal data for the period necessary for the respective purpose or purposes. Where longer-term retention obligations arise due to legal and other obligations to which we are subject, we restrict processing accordingly.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. These are small text files that enable specific, user-related information to be stored on the user’s device whilst the user is using the website. In particular, cookies enable us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of the pages, to analyse patterns of website usage, and also to make our offering more user-friendly. Cookies remain stored beyond the end of a browser session and can be retrieved when the site is visited again. If you do not wish this to happen, you should set your internet browser to refuse cookies.

A general objection to the use of cookies for online marketing purposes can be lodged for a wide range of services, particularly regarding tracking, via the US site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. Furthermore, the storage of cookies can be prevented by deactivating them in your browser settings. Please note that in this case, not all functions of this website will be available.

With SSL/TLS encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries you send to us as the website operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

Copyright

The copyright and all other rights to the content, images, photos or other files on the website belong exclusively to the operator of this website or the named rights holders. Prior written consent must be obtained from the copyright holders for the reproduction of any files.

Anyone who infringes copyright without the consent of the respective copyright holders may be liable to prosecution and, under certain circumstances, claims for damages may be asserted.

Disclaimer

All information on our website has been carefully checked. We endeavour to ensure that the information we provide is up to date, accurate and complete. Nevertheless, the occurrence of errors cannot be entirely ruled out, so we cannot guarantee the completeness, accuracy or timeliness of the information, including that of a journalistic or editorial nature. Claims for liability relating to material or non-material damage caused by the use or non-use of the information provided, or by the use of incorrect or incomplete information, are generally excluded.

Use of this website or access to it is at the visitor’s own risk. The publisher, its customers or partners are not responsible for any damage, such as direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage, allegedly caused by visiting this website and therefore accept no liability for such damage.

The publisher also accepts no responsibility or liability for the content and availability of third-party websites that can be accessed via external links from this website. Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps. This enables us to display interactive maps directly on the website and allows you to use the map function conveniently. By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the relevant subpage of our website. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in, or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as user profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the customisation of its website. Such analysis is carried out in particular (including for users who are not logged in) to provide tailored advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles; to exercise this right, you must contact Google. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by Google, as well as further information on your rights in this regard and settings options for protecting your privacy, can be found at: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

YouTube

Functions of the “YouTube” service are integrated into this website. “YouTube” is owned by Google Ireland Limited, a company incorporated and operating under Irish law, with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, which operates the services within the European Economic Area and Switzerland.

Your legal agreement with “YouTube” consists of the terms and conditions available at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/static?gl=de&template=terms&hl=de. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and “YouTube” regarding your use of the services. Google’s privacy policy explains how “YouTube” handles and protects your personal data when you use the service.

Vimeo

This website incorporates plugins from the video portal Vimeo, operated by Vimeo, LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA. When you visit a page that features one or more Vimeo video clips, a direct connection is established between your browser and a Vimeo server in the USA. Information about your visit and your IP address is stored there. Through interactions with the Vimeo plugins (e.g. clicking the play button), this information is also transmitted to Vimeo and stored there. You can find Vimeo’s privacy policy, which contains further details on the collection and use of your data by Vimeo, in Vimeo’s privacy policy.

If you have a Vimeo user account and do not want Vimeo to collect data about you via this website and link it to your membership data stored with Vimeo, you must log out of Vimeo before visiting this website.

In addition, Vimeo calls up the Google Analytics tracker via an iFrame in which the video is displayed. This is Vimeo’s own tracking system, to which we have no access. You can prevent tracking by Google Analytics by using the opt-out tools that Google provides for some web browsers. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by Google Analytics and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available via the following link:
